A reconstructed 13th century castle located on a small island in Loch Duich in the western Scottish Highlands. It has appeared in numerous films and television programmes, as well as featuring in BBC One's "hot air balloon" idents in the late 1990s.

In 1993 it was one of several castles used in publicity shots for Knightmare Series 7, providing a backdrop for photos of Treguard, Treguard & Majida and Raptor. Others included Coca Castle and Peñaranda Castle in Spain.

Eilean Donan Castle is now owned by the Conchra Charitable Trust and is open to the public. Click here to visit the website.
